photography
I explore the digital camera’s capacity to record exactly 22 seconds into the form of a photograph. I create the works using a method where I expose the image for the same duration, using movement to construct a structure within the frame.
Through these works, I examine the indexicality of the photograph, how a photograph is always a unique capture of a specific moment and movement. The works are also my own interpretation and commentary on photographic representation and the boundaries of abstract photography. With this series, I aim to return to the ontological core of the photograph, particularly in this era of AI transformation, where the distinct character of photography's ontology risks becoming blurred.
